Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola

d'Imola, CUMULUS e IED
(European Institute of Design), no qual participam as
seguintes instituições:
- The Ohio State University - Department of Design - EUA
- Zurich School of the Arts - Suíça
- Instituto de Artes Visuais, Design e Marketing
- Portugal
Stefano Bolognesi, Michele Capuani, Mauro Gandolfi e Aldo Coloneti,
An international competition promoted by Cooperativa
Ceramica d'Imola, Cumulus and IED (European Institute of Design) on
innovative uses of ceramics reinterpreted in an urban key. The aim
of the project is the development of questions interesting to a
public of designers. The project targets this group by developing
themes not strictly linked to Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola products
but rather tackling broader topics while paying constant attention
to the theme of construction surfaces, the cladding of city and
buildings.
The outputs will be exhibited at the Triennial, on the
occasion of the 'Salone del Mobile 2012', from 17 to 22 April 2012,
and will be collected and discussed in a publication. This
prestigious venue, the very showcase of the Salone del Mobile,
calls for high quality projects that will be seen in a highly
important and frequented context. The competition is part of a
programme of strategic actions that Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola
wants to implement in order to relaunch its image and its historic
value, linked to the territory and to Italian production par
excellence.
